Former Twist Intern Makes HeadlinesPosted by Jenna Baird in Twist News |
Move over, Mark Zuckerburg. There’s a new young entrepreneur living the successful start-up life. Sam Franklin, a former intern at Twist last year, has leveraged a great idea into a thriving business. His passion for the outdoors sparked an idea to create an eco-friendly electronic alternative to “traditional” printed invitations for weddings, formal events and corporations. At age 21, he started Greenvelope out of his Washington University dorm room. And now, with over 5,000 customers utilizing his service, Franklin expects first-year revenue to exceed $100,000.
